Rennai, a luxury beauty and self-care retail concept, will open its flagship location this summer at a mixed-use development in Montreal dubbed Royalmount.

Opening in August 2024, Rennai will span 36,000 square feet and house a slew of unique in-store experiences from global luxury brands, including Hermes and LVMH's Christian Dior, as well as other well-known local and global personal and self care brands.

According to a media release, the retailer will offer guests a series of five beauty and self-care zones that promote modern wellness. Beyond the extensive product offering, services will include traditional aesthetics, dermatology, nutrition, a fragrance zone and a revitalizing retreat area where guests can extend their time at the “complete self-care space.”

Partnerships already confirmed to launch at Rennai from prestige and luxury brands include:

  • Parfums Christian Dior, the perfumery and cosmetics line of the French fashion house, will open its Beauty Boutique experience at Rennai, bringing together fragrance, including La Collection Privee, makeup and skincare. This will be Dior’s first Beauty Boutique to open in Canada.
  • Parisian brand Hermes will also open its first beauty and fragrance shop-in-shop in Canada through Rennai, offering both cosmetics and the brand’s collection of perfumes, bath and body products.
  • Unilever professional-grade skincare brand Dermalogica will launch its first-ever “advanced” open-concept skin treatment services space within Rennai.
  • Diptyque, Parisian luxury fragrance house, will also open its first shop-in-shop concept at Rennai, which will feature the brand’s signature personal fragrances, home and body collections.
  • New York-based fragrance brand Le Labo will offer fresh hand-blended creations with personalized labels at the retailer, per the release.

"Having experienced the retail industry with a luxury lens, I can confidently say that these prestigious partnerships are precisely what we want to bring to today's discerning clientele,” Rennai president Christopher Novak said in the release. “Exclusives and never-been-seen-before experiences are the core foundation of what makes Rennai so unique and timely. We will continue to announce partners leading up to the launch that represent our brand spirit and promise — to offer our clients a complete one-stop experience both on location and through our complimentary virtual concierge experience.”

Rennai says the store will also place “significant emphasis” on curating and highlighting local brands, such as Quebec-born and women-owned prestige beauty brand Lise Watier Cosmetics, as well as additional regional Quebec favorites, including Apprenti Or'ganik, JB Skin Savvi, Selv, Ruby Brown, Landish and Camellia Sinensis Tea House.

Royalmount, which is still being built, will span an array of retailers (including many luxury brands), offices, hospitality and residential buildings.
