Walgreens this month launched same-day delivery in less than two hours to shoppers across the U.S. for more than 24,000 retail products.
Consumers shopping online at walgreens.com or via the Walgreens app can choose “Same Day Delivery” at checkout. Eligible products, delivery hours and fees vary by location.
“As the country gets ready to emerge from the pandemic, Walgreens continues its focus on enhancing our customer experience through integrated and simplified shopping solutions,” Stefanie Kruse, Walgreens vice president of digital commerce, said in a media release. “Since the launch of myWalgreens in November 2020, we are constantly innovating to provide convenient delivery options to our customers that make their lives easier. We are confident that customers will enjoy our new Same Day Delivery functionality for those last minute needs.”
Same-day delivery in two hours builds on the other shopping solutions Walgreens has implemented recently. In November 2020, the retailer began offering pickup of online orders in as little as 30 minutes – either in-store, curbside and via the pharmacy drive-thru. It also launched on-demand delivery through third-party partnerships with Postmates, DoorDash and Instacart.
