The Shop Brings Men's Grooming Line Exclusively to Walmart

The Shop, a line of men’s grooming products inspired by the YouTube and HBO interview show of the same name, launched exclusively at Walmart on April 1.In episodes of "The Shop," series creators Paul Rivera and Randy Mims interview artists, entertainers, athletes and advocates at a barbershop. The series is produced by The SpringHill Co., an entertainment and content company founded by businessman/media personality Maverick Carter and basketball legend LeBron James.Developed through a partnership with Los Angeles-based Parlux Ltd., The Shop men’s grooming line comprises seven SKUs priced at $9.97 including exfoliating cleanser, aftershave and pomade."We created 'The Shop' out of a deep love and passion for the barbershop experience,” Rivera said in a statement. "There is nothing like the feeling you have walking out of the shop looking your best. It's so amazing to partner with Walmart in neighborhoods all over the country to create a line of products to give people another way to experience a truly great barbershop."The brand is sold in the personal care departments of more than 1,600 Walmart stores on a dedicated endcap display with reflective headers designed to resemble a barbershop mirror. Using the message “for every ambitious man,” the display positions the brand’s 2-in-1 hair wash, face wash and face lotion as “essentials for your self-care routine.”"Walmart is committed to broadening its product range and introducing new brands to captivate customers," Creighton Kiper, Walmart U.S. vice president, merchandising, beauty, said in a statement. "We're so excited to welcome The Shop and their new line of men's grooming products to our growing assortment and believe our customers will love the high-performance products at an exceptional value."Videos starring James, Carter and Rivera promote the launch across YouTube and Instagram. The brand is also sold through brand showcases within Walmart.com and Uninterrupted.com, the website for James and Carter’s sportswear and apparel brand.
