Circle K is enjoying an exclusive overlay to PepsiCo/Frito-Lay's national campaign activating the manufacturer’s ongoing partnership with Activision’s Call of Duty video game series.

Shoppers who purchase both a 20-ounce MTN Dew beverage and a bag of Doritos bag (between 2 to 4.25 ounces) at Circle K from Nov. 3 through Jan. 4 receive an in-game calling card they can use in Call of Duty: Vanguard or Call of Duty: Warzone. Shoppers redeem the reward by entering a code obtained via text message to Southfield, MI-based Prize Logic handles. In stores, cooler clings tout the promotion and dangle a $3.33 combined price for a MTN Dew beverage and Doritos SKU.

The brand's national effort centers on promotional SKUs of Mtn Dew and Doritos with in-pack codes that can be redeemed at from Oct. 4 through March 28, 2022. Shoppers who redeem the codes are rewarded with tokens that can be used to earn double experience points (2XP) for a limited time when playing either Call of Duty game. A 15-second video (see below) posted on Mtn Dew’s YouTube channel on Oct. 20, and Twitter and Instagram updates from both brands plug the promotion.

PepsiCo first partnered with Activision in September 2019 to offer 2XP codes with purchase of Doritos and Mtn Dew SKUs ahead of the October 2019 release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Mtn Dew Amp Game Fuel sponsored a pre-release streaming event spotlighting the game’s new two player versus two player, competitive game mode. Doritos and Mtn Dew also released 2XP codes ahead of the November 2020 release of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
