2020 DOT Winners Announced

The Path to Purchase Institute announced the winners of the 2020 Design of the Times Awards competition live on the afternoon of Oct. 7 during a virtual awards ceremony. The "Best of the Times" award went to Dr. Scholl's Custom Fit Orthotics Kiosk display produced for Scholl's Wellness Company by Trans World Marketing.

A panel of judges from product manufacturers, retailers and agencies gathered virtually for a second round of judging to determine the ultimate winners, after first selecting 26 finalists from scores of entries in this year's DOT program, which celebrates the most effective in-store activations of the previous year in recognition of the critical role P-O-P activity plays in successful shopper marketing initiatives. 

Judges reviewed and scored entries across nine awards categories representing the most important objectives that in-store marketing programs can achieve. The entries represent executions at multiple retail channels including consumer electronics, convenience, drug, mass merchants, specialty, supermarket/grocery and warehouse club. 

The Institute's unique virtual event unveiled the Platinum winners, along with the top Best of the Times designation. In addition, attendees of the event became judges themselves by helping select the winner of the first-ever Design of the Times “People’s Choice” award from among the finalists.
