Walgreens Promotes Drive-Thru Shopping
Walgreens on March 26 sent emails to registered consumers introducing its new “drive-thru shopping” service.
First mentioned in a March 18 media release explaining temporary store changes due to the COVID-19 crisis, drive-thru shopping allows consumers to purchase “essential items" at the retailer’s pharmacy drive-thru windows.
Eligible items include household goods, pain relief, grocery, cough & cold, baby formula and medical supplies, according to the email.
Shoppers need not pre-order nor leave their cars to receive the orders. (Best Buy instituted a similar process as of March 22, although without a drive-thru window.)
