Walgreens leveraged its Register Rewards program in July to spotlight its private label items.

The retailer used the cover of its July coupon book to promote a four-week offer on its “family of brands,” calling out its Nice!, Complete Home, Finest Nutrition, Pet Shoppe and namesake Walgreens brands.

The offer dangled $3 in Register Rewards with purchase of $20 in qualifying items from June 28 through July 25. Circular features and aisle violators supported.

Subsequently, Walgreens is promising $3 in Register Rewards with purchase of $20 in qualifying Walgreens brand health and wellness products from July 26 through Aug. 29. A July 26 circular feature supported.

The Register Rewards program is a long-standing trip driver that pre-dates Walgreens’ Balance Rewards loyalty program and delivers next-trip savings with in-store purchase of designated products via Catalina coupons printed at checkout. The rewards are valid for two weeks from date of purchase. Loyalty program membership is now required to receive Register Rewards.
