Vuzix Corp. Smart Glasses
A pair of AR and AI-powered smart glasses is aiding retail staff to more efficiently stock and manage retail shelves. Rochester, New York-based Vuzix Corp., maker of smart glasses and AR tech, partnered with a machine learning platform called Powershelf from IoT Smart Retail, Annapolis, Maryland, to embed the “Powershelf Stock-to-Sight” and “Pick-to-Sight” solutions into the glasses. Wearing glasses that are tied to the Powershelf platform and tool, retail staff can scan and overlay product-specific images that go directly into the Powershelf system. They can update the stocking situation, help to be more efficient in stocking errors, on-shelf availability and pricing accuracy, and also reduce out-of-stocks.
