WestRock Debuts Connected Packaging Solution

WestRock, Norcross, Georgia, unveiled a connected packaging solution for smart products that combines Beaverton, Oregon-based Digimarc’s enabled bar-code technology with San Francisco-based Evrythng’s IoT Smart Products Platform to bring live data to WestRock packages, in-store signs and displays produced annually. As part of the collaboration, WestRock will print Digimarc bar codes that can be scanned by smartphones and other devices. “By digitally enabling the smart product packaging at point of manufacture, we can add real-time connected intelligence to any physical product throughout its lifecycle,” Evrythng’s CEO Niall Murphy said in a media release.

ItemMaster Launches On Demand Content

Skokie, Illinois-based content builder ItemMaster Inc. can now provide direct feeds of certified brand content with on-demand delivery. The platform creates, manages and distributes content through a cloud-based API directly into the retailers’ digital shelf and mobile application platforms. Ahold Delhaize’s was one of the first to stream up-to-date content to its site using ItemMaster’s on-demand service.

RP Creative Display Merges With OSI Creative

OSI Creative and RP Creative Display, both of Irvine, California, are merging into one company under the OSI Creative name. RP employees will relocate to OSI’s offices. “Our combined P-O-P design and production experience and expanded capabilities will benefit customers of both companies as we continue our focus on innovative solutions and responsive customer service,” OSI president and CEO Joe Baksha said in a media release.

ShopperBridge Partners With BeaconsInSpace

ShopperBridge, a provider of in-store mobile advertising for shopper marketing teams, is teaming up with BeaconsInSpace, a location intelligence platform that aggregates beacon networks. Both companies are located in San Francisco. “Our customers’ shopper marketing campaigns will benefit from greater potential reach and additional location verification,” ShopperBridge CEO Beth Gregg said in a media release.

Natural Insight Unveils Reveal Analytics

Sterling, Virginia-based Natural Insight launched an enhanced reporting feature called Reveal Analytics. The technology includes real-time dashboards accessible on any mobile device that reflect the status of in-store promotional, merchandising and assisted sales efforts as well as captured photos for visual verification. “With a click of a button, brands and retailers can identify and share trends related to project completion, execution compliance, customer feedback, sales influencers and competitive information,” Natural Insight CEO Stefan Midford said in a media release.
