Dollar General is carrying new and exclusive "Deep Fried Pickle"-flavored potato crisps from Kellogg Co.'s Pringles.

Part of Pringle's "wavy" line, the deep fried pickle SKU rolled out to Dollar General stores this month in the brand's traditional 5.5-ounce can. Priced at $1.55, the item is inspired by "the iconic snack food and reminiscent of the batter-coated restaurant classic" with flavor notes of "dill-pickle tanginess," hints of garlic and "savory-fried satisfaction," according to a media release from Dollar General. The chips will be available for a limited timed while supplies last.

In stores, the chips are stocked on account-specific shelf trays communicating their exclusivity. A digital feature within the retailer's April 18 circular, an April 9 Instagram update from Pringles and a home page carousel ad on also plug the item.

Pringles regularly rolls out exclusive, limited-time flavors at the dollar store chain, including "Chicken & Waffles"-flavored Pringles chips last year. In past years, the retailer has also carried "Mac ‘N Cheese"-, "Nashville Hot Chicken"- and bacon-flavored Pringles chips.

Elsewhere in stores, account-specific displays from multiple manufacturers plug Dollar General offers, including a floorstand from:

  • Mars Inc. merchandising exclusive "orange vanilla creme"-flavored M&M's candies and communicating a $2 off the purchase of $10 worth of select M&M's items.
  • Red Bull GmbH merchandising its flagship energy drinks and communicating the cans are $2 each of "3 for $5."
