Kum & Go Bets on RangeMe’s Product Discovery Platform

Convenience retailer Kum & Go has formed a new technology partnership with RangeMe, an ECRM sourcing platform for brands and retailers, to drive new product discovery and innovation at the shelf.

“Our customers are striving to feel and do better every day. We are continually evaluating our assortment to ensure we are offering the products that are keeping up with our customer’s evolving wants and needs,” said Stephanie Poitry, Kum & Go senior category manager in a recent press release. “Our partnership with RangeMe is an exciting step forward on our journey to make healthy food convenient for everyone.”

RangeMe’s product discovery platform offers the c-store access to more than 175,000 brands. Kum & Go can use selective and specific search criteria to connect with product manufacturers right for its stores and shopper-base.

“Kum & Go is dedicated to pleasing customers through its product mix of original and high-quality items,” Nicky Jackson, CEO of RangeMe said. “And RangeMe is here to help make the process of finding and perfecting that mix easier for everyone.”

Kum & Go hopes turning to technology to scale its product offerings will position the chain as a “true innovator” in the convenience market, particularly at a time when the COVID-19 pandemic has prompted a significant growth opportunity for the c-store channel.

Established in Hampton, IA, in 1959, Kum & Go today employs 5,000 associates in 400 stores across 11 states including Iowa, Arkansas, Colorado, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana and Wyoming.

RangeMe’s online platform streamlines new product discovery between product manufacturers and retailers. It aims to help retail buyers efficiently discover innovative and emerging products, while streamlining the inbound product submission process. For product suppliers, RangeMe offers tools for managing their products, marketing their brand and building awareness.
