Kind Post-Super Bowl Ad
Perhaps the best Super Bowl ad this year should go to Kind LLC and it’s YouTube-only video that had more than 2,235,000 views a day after the big game. The ad featured the CEO learning of a lofty $6 million price tag to run a TV ad during the Super Bowl and in return saying that instead of “wasting $6 million” on an ad, the company pledged to give out $6 million worth of Kind bars to consumers for free. It’s a comical video with a gentleman from accounting playing director for a day while the CEO asks viewers to share the video on YouTube and to click on a link at the end to share their information for a coupon toward one free Kind bar. The ad is a clever social play that plays off perhaps the effectiveness of TV vs. social while collecting consumer info.
