The Path to Purchase Institute is seeking executives across the shopper marketing community to participate in its Spending Trends Survey to evaluate and determine spending benchmarks for shopper marketing activities. With this research, Institute staff can also size the overall market, including an exploration of spending by tactic.
It’s not news that the proportion of total advertising and trade spending accounted for by shopper marketing is largely unknown. Sizing the industry as a whole has proved challenging as well, largely because the scope of what constitutes shopper marketing can differ across organizations, including how companies classify retailer media buys.
