New York-based Chicory, a digital shopper marketing platform for CPG and grocery brands, has appointed Jason Young as President.
Young recently served as CEO of Crisp Media, a mobile ad technology platform that was acquired by Quotient, and then Chief Media and Marketing Officer at Quotient. Prior to that, he served as founder of Smart Device Media and CEO of Ziff Davis Media.
At Chicory, Young will strategically advise on company growth and business expansion.
“I’m pleased to join Chicory at a critical time of growth for the company,” Young said in a media release. “Chicory’s innovative media and shoppability solutions that are at the intersection of contextual content and commerce have created significant value for publishers, brands and retailers. The opportunity to help enhance and scale Chicory is an exciting one that I’m thrilled to help lead.”
Chicory also announced a new Strategic Partnerships team, led by Nick Minnick, formerly Chicory’s Director of Retailer Development. Minnick will expand Chicory’s retailer and publisher partnerships to provide a more widespread and effective retailer and recipe network to CPG brand clients.
“Jason brings deep digital advertising and shopper marketing knowledge to Chicory at a time when the company is poised to grow and flourish in this current industry climate,” said Yuni Sameshima, Chicory’s CEO and Co-Founder. “Contextual commerce, shoppability and digital media solutions are only going to become more valuable for shopper marketers and CPG brands. Both Jason and Strategic Partnerships will help to bring those solutions to the forefront of CPG advertising.”
